The unique and compact item demonstrates the principles of diffraction and the creation of interference patterns. Kit contains light source, scale and housing, photographic slides with single and double slits of 12 different widths, an adjustable width slit, red filter, blue filter and red/blue/clear composite filter. By taking several simple measurements, the wavelength of the light can be calculated.
